Co-education

Co-education means educating boys and girls together. It is the salient features of the modern educational system. Both boys and girls attend the same schools or colleges. It is popular in all civilized and progressive countries of the world. Though in some countries there are separate schools for boys and girl’s co-education providing schools are mostly famous. In Nepal, tri Chandra College first adopted this system. In fact co-education is closely associated with the latest educational ideas and modern views.

 Both girls and boys can share their ideas and views. Co-education teaches them to know and understand each other. They study together and play together. There will be good co- operation and understanding between them. They don’t hate each other. Girls learn something from boys and girls also encourages the students to work hard. Co-education provides better environment for both boys and girls. All the existing schools and colleges should be made co-education.

 However it shows some drawbacks too. The teenagers give preference to dress and fashion in order to become the Centre of attraction. Their minds lead towards romance rather than on study. The deep friendship is treated as love which results with an unhappy ending. However for all round development of students co-education is important.
