education in sociology

The study of educationally sociology covers a wide area. Generally it is concerned with the study of relationship among individual’s society and education. It attempts to study the relationship between sociological theories and education. The main objective of this subject is the application and use of social theories to solve educational problems. The scope of educational sociology can be delimited. Into the following three aspects:
1.       social aspect: educational sociology studies about social processes social institutions social control social stratification and social change and their effects on education.
2.       Educational aspect: educational sociology also studies about aim of education, curricula, educational administration and management, educative processes evaluation etc to utilize education for welfare of the society.

3.       Functional aspect: the functional aspect of educational sociology studies about the ways to utilize education for a welfare society. It attempts to utilize social theories to make education effective and fruitful.
